Test materials   PIM/PEM/KIM - EmissiON & iMmissiON MEASUREMENTS

Within the framework of the AMVB (Dutch legislation) three types of emission - and immision measurement can be prescribed. This depends on the used type of solvent: PER or hydrocarbons. To commit these regulations we have set up a practical measurement service. You can carry out the measurements under accompaniment independently. CCD always carries out the laboratory analyses.

    Requirements

You clean with PER, then measuring of the concentration solvent in adjacent critical objects has been required (immission). Also you must determine the emission values by an outside measuring (emission).

By cleaning with hydrocarbons it is required that you take sufficient precautions to prevent distribution of the solvent vapours to adjacent sensitive objects as much as possible. You can show this for example by performing a measuring at this place.

    Methods and application

There are three different methods, each with its own application:
  • PIM = measurement of the immission of organic solvents
  • PEM = measurement of the emission of organic solvents
  • KIM = same as PIM, but especially suitable for hydrocarbons
We can always assist you with the measurements. In advance it is necessarily to draw out a good measuring plan and to stipulate the performance indicators. This must be carried out by an expert (CCD). After the measuring period you can remove yourself the instrument and return it to CCD. We will then carry out the analysis.
